At which point I had the urge to work for myself so I started Oyster Picture Framing in 1995 and have spent more time framing pictures than taking them I still love photography but with a young family it is hard to find the time to develop themes. John's Gallery Link	John Scarland Art, modern art, has been a way of life for twenty years. The subject of my drawings and paintings are mainly figures and the years have been spent attempting to express something of the daily interaction we experience as human beings A previous twenty years were spent in horticulture as a carpenter in the building industry.
